The Tiers System is a form of measurement both used in and out of RP. It measures the overall skills of a character, most commonly their battle prowess.
It's easy to determine your character's tier. People can simply name the tier of their character, if it's not too unreasonable. If the admins think that someone is being too overpowered, they can nerf them.
The Tier System is most commonly known for being able to give measurement to the battle strength of a character. While the tiers can say much about how strong someone is, there are other factors that determine the winner of a fight. For example, a tier 3 character may not always beat a tier 2. Tier 2s could have the advantage, like abilities that work well against the tier 3's abilities.
Tiers go from 1 to 10, being from lowest to highest in terms of skill.
Tiers for battle prowess takes many attributes of a character into consideration. Speed, physical strength, dexterity are common traits, but versatility, cunning, and other traits must be thought of as well.
Tiers 1-5 are for PCs. Tiers 6-10 are for NPCs only.
- Tier 1-Stronger than a normal foot soldier, though is nothing too impressive compared to others characters.
- Tier 2
- Tier 3
- Tier 4
- Tier 5-The cap for how strong a PC may be. Their abilities are impressive, and are able to start their own schools.
- Tier 6:
- Tier 7:
- Tier 8:
- Tier 9:
- Tier 10-The most powerful individuals in history. There have only been a handful, maybe less than 10 tier 10s so far. Only 3 are alive.
The current norm for PCs is tiers 2-3.
